Resumen

Reportamos por la primera vez un evento de depredación de Kerodon rupestris por parte de Cerdocyon thous. El evento ocurrió en el municipio de Engenheiro Navarro, norte de Minas Gerais, sudeste de Brasil. Los huesos fracturados en la columna vertebral de K. rupestris pueden indicar la estrategia utilizada por C. thous para capturar y matar a su presa. Esta es la primera vez que esta interacción és reportada, pero no existen estudios sistemáticos sobre la dieta de Cerdocyon thous en los ecosistemas de Caatinga y Cerrado, donde la especie coexiste con K. rupestris.
