Resumen

A distribuição conhecida do sauim-branco Leontocebus melanoleucus era restrita à região entre os rios Juruá e Tarauacá, no sudoeste da Amazônia. Registros documentados a mais de 60 km a leste do rio Tarauacá em ambas as margens do rio Muru no centro do Acre ampliam sua distribuição para o leste e sugerem que o rio Envira marca o real limite da distribuição desta espécie, o que aumenta a distribuição provável desta espécie em 39,5%.
