Um novo iniciador universal para o gene mitocondrial citocromo b de mamíferos

Desenhamos um conjunto de primers de amplificação para atingir o gene mitocondrial citocromo b do gênero de roedores Oligoryzomys. Combinações de dois conjuntos de primers amplificaram com sucesso mitocondrial completo e citocromo b parcial (MT-CYB), não apenas de Oligoryzomys, mas também de outras espécies de mamíferos das ordens Rodentia, Didelphimorphia, Primates, Chiroptera, Cetacea, Carnivora e Lagomorpha. Análises preliminares de sequenciamento revelaram que estes primers geram sequências informativas para várias espécies de mamíferos importantes para análises filogenéticas e de delimitação de espécies.
